FAQ
Answers, straight up.
The questions buyers actually ask about Microsoft, AI, funding, and licensing, answered plainly.
About CloudServus
What is CloudServus?
CloudServus is a Microsoft Azure Expert MSP headquartered in Austin, Texas, that helps organizations get AI under control, modernize on Microsoft, and optimize their licensing. It ranks in the top 1% of Microsoft partners and is known for doing the work, not just advising.
What does CloudServus do?
CloudServus works across the full Microsoft platform: security, Azure infrastructure and migration, data and AI, application development, modern work, and licensing and cost optimization, plus fully managed cloud support. Most clients start with one of four paths (getting AI under control, building a data and infrastructure foundation, a resident architect for ongoing strategy, or licensing optimization), and migration and modernization work is often eligible for Microsoft funding.
Where is CloudServus located?
CloudServus is headquartered in Austin, Texas, and serves clients across the United States.
Is CloudServus a Microsoft partner?
Yes. CloudServus is a Microsoft Azure Expert MSP (a status earned by fewer than 1% of partners worldwide), a top 1% Microsoft Solutions Partner, and co-sells directly with Microsoft account teams.
What is an Azure Expert MSP?
An Azure Expert MSP is a Microsoft designation for the highest tier of managed service providers, awarded to fewer than 1% of partners after an independent audit of their Azure capability and delivery. CloudServus holds this status.
What makes CloudServus different from other Microsoft partners?
CloudServus executes rather than only advising. Every engagement ends in something built and measurably better, not a slide deck. It also leads with Microsoft funding on migration and modernization work, which can bring that work to little or no cost.
What industries does CloudServus serve?
CloudServus works with finance, manufacturing, state and local government, logistics, healthcare, and private equity organizations.
AI & AI Governance
What is AI governance?
AI governance is the practice of controlling how AI tools are used across an organization: what data they can touch, who can use them, and how that usage is secured and measured. CloudServus delivers AI governance as an assessment plus the remediation to fix what it finds.
How do I find out if employees are using AI tools we never approved?
A governance assessment assesses your Microsoft environment and surfaces where AI and shadow AI tools are being used and what data is exposed. CloudServus runs this assessment and then closes the gaps, rather than handing you a report.
Is Microsoft Copilot secure?
Microsoft Copilot can be secure, but only when your data permissions, governance, and access controls are configured correctly first. Otherwise Copilot can surface data users shouldn't see. CloudServus assesses Copilot readiness and locks it down before rollout.
What is an AI governance assessment and how much does it cost?
It's an evaluation of how AI is used and secured across your environment, delivered with a prioritized remediation plan. It's a paid engagement, and we scope the cost with you on the first call.
How long does an AI governance assessment take?
A CloudServus AI governance assessment is measured in days, not weeks, because it assesses your environment directly rather than relying on lengthy manual interviews.
Microsoft Funding
Does CloudServus help access Microsoft funding?
Yes, for migration and modernization projects. Microsoft funds much of the infrastructure, database, and Azure migration work we do, so that work can come at little or no cost. AI, Copilot, and licensing work is generally not Microsoft-funded. We confirm what your specific project qualifies for on the first call.
What is a funded assessment?
A funded assessment is a Microsoft-funded evaluation of an Azure migration or modernization project, delivered at little or no cost because that work qualifies for Microsoft funding. CloudServus confirms what's funded before any work begins.
Do I qualify for Microsoft funding?
If you have Azure migration or modernization work, most likely yes. Eligibility depends on the project and your Microsoft environment, which CloudServus confirms on the first call.
Is the Microsoft licensing review really free?
Yes. CloudServus pulls and analyzes your licensing statement at no cost and no obligation; most customers find immediate savings.
Microsoft Licensing
How much can I save on Microsoft licensing?
Most organizations overpay for Microsoft licensing by 20-40%. CloudServus runs a no-cost licensing review to find the waste and right-size your agreement.
What's the difference between a Microsoft EA and CSP?
An Enterprise Agreement (EA) is a fixed, multi-year Microsoft contract, while the Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) model is more flexible with shorter terms and partner-led support. CloudServus helps organizations evaluate and transition between them.
Should I move from an EA to CSP?
Many organizations save money and gain flexibility by moving from an EA to CSP, but it depends on your size, growth, and support needs. CloudServus assesses your situation and gives you the numbers before you decide.
What is a Microsoft CSP partner?
A Microsoft CSP (Cloud Solution Provider) partner sells, manages, and supports Microsoft licenses and cloud services directly for customers. CloudServus is a top 1% global CSP partner.
Can CloudServus help with licensing after a merger or acquisition?
Yes. CloudServus consolidates and optimizes Microsoft licensing across merged entities, eliminating the duplication an acquisition typically creates.
